Kraków-based opportunity with hybrid work model (3 days remote per week).

As a Senior Cloud FinOps and Observability Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global technology leader supporting enterprise operations across multiple cloud platforms. Your role will focus on optimizing cloud costs, enhancing observability, and automating processes to empower data-driven decisions and cost governance on a worldwide scale. Join a forward-thinking environment where your expertise shapes sustainable cloud strategies and fuels digital transformation.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Drive FinOps practices across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) to optimize costs and streamline operations.
  • Analyze logging and observability data at scale to identify cost drivers and deliver measurable cost reduction initiatives.
  • Implement cost allocation, showback/chargeback models, and establish robust cost governance frameworks.
  • Design and maintain cloud governance and compliance guardrails within enterprise environments.
  • Build and deploy automation solutions using Python, Bash, and/or Terraform, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Manage logging architecture, including log ingestion, routing, retention policies, and storage cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to develop and implement cloud cost optimization strategies.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar cloud financial operations or observability position.
  • Strong working knowledge of Azure (core services, identity, networking, governance).
  • Good knowledge of AWS and GCP cost drivers and pricing mechanics.
  • Hands-on experience with at least two public cloud platforms, including native logging and monitoring services.
  • Practical understanding of FinOps principles: cost allocation, showback/chargeback, optimization levers, and cost governance.
  • Strong understanding of logging/observability architecture, including log ingestion, routing, retention policies, and storage cost drivers.
  • Proven ability to build and deploy automation at scale using Python, Bash, and Terraform.
  • Knowledge of cloud governance and compliance approaches, including implementation of guardrails.

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with advanced cloud security and compliance frameworks.

Language Required for the role:

  • Fluent English, with excellent communication skills.

Eligibility to work in Europe:

  • Only candidates with an existing legal right to work in the European Union will be considered for this role.
