As a Senior Cloud FinOps and Observability Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global technology leader supporting enterprise operations across multiple cloud platforms. Your role will focus on optimizing cloud costs, enhancing observability, and automating processes to empower data-driven decisions and cost governance on a worldwide scale. Your main responsibilities:
- Drive FinOps practices across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) to optimize costs and streamline operations.
- Analyze logging and observability data at scale to identify cost drivers and deliver measurable cost reduction initiatives.
- Implement cost allocation, showback/chargeback models, and establish robust cost governance frameworks.
- Design and maintain cloud governance and compliance guardrails within enterprise environments.
- Build and deploy automation solutions using Python, Bash, and/or Terraform, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage logging architecture, including log ingestion, routing, retention policies, and storage cost optimization.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to develop and implement cloud cost optimization strategies.
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- 4+ years of experience in a similar cloud financial operations or observability position.
- Strong working knowledge of Azure (core services, identity, networking, governance).
- Good knowledge of AWS and GCP cost drivers and pricing mechanics.
- Hands-on experience with at least two public cloud platforms, including native logging and monitoring services.
- Practical understanding of FinOps principles: cost allocation, showback/chargeback, optimization levers, and cost governance.
- Strong understanding of logging/observability architecture, including log ingestion, routing, retention policies, and storage cost drivers.
- Proven ability to build and deploy automation at scale using Python, Bash, and Terraform.
- Knowledge of cloud governance and compliance approaches, including implementation of guardrails.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with advanced cloud security and compliance frameworks.
Language Required for the role:
- Fluent English, with excellent communication skills.
