As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading technology-driven organization dedicated to delivering cutting-edge portal solutions. Your main responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java to ensure reliable portal functionality.
• Design data models and integrate with relational or NoSQL databases to support portal features.
• Collaborate closely with front-end teams to define API contracts and ensure smooth integration.
• Build, deploy, and optimize containerized applications within Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
• Implement secure coding practices, conduct unit/integration testing, and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, participating in on-call and support rotations.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical design discussions to foster continuous improvement.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability to meet evolving user needs.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience in backend software development with strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot).
• Proven experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with container technologies and orchestration tools—Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Working knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
• Experience in developing client-facing applications

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with messaging or event-driven architectures using Kafka, MQ, etc.
• Domain experience in financial services, fund administration, or transfer agency. 

Language required for the role:

• Fluent English.
