Senior Azure DevOps Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

As a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution undergoing a large-scale digital transformation. You will contribute to modernizing cloud infrastructure and streamlining delivery pipelines for critical banking applications, helping to build secure, scalable, and efficient cloud solutions that support innovative financial services worldwide.

Your main responsibilities:

• Designing and maintaining scalable, secure Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code techniques
• Building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for .NET and JavaScript applications
• Automating provisioning, configuration, patching, and compliance enforcement across environments
• Implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, and cost management mechanisms
• Integrating security controls like IAM, key management, and vulnerability scanning into automation pipelines
• Partnering with development teams to resolve build, deployment, and runtime issues
• Maintaining and evolving automation scripts in PowerShell, Bash, and Python
• Defining, enforcing, and evangelizing DevOps standards, branching strategies, and release governance
• Mentoring engineers in cloud automation, DevOps best practices, and security principles
• Collaborating with global IT, security, and architecture teams to ensure compliance and operational excellence

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 3+ years of experience working with Azure infrastructure (AKS, App Services, AAD, Key Vault, networking)
• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
• Expertise in Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows
• Advanced scripting experience in PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Solid understanding of .NET build and deployment processes
• Proven experience implementing secure DevOps practices (IAM, secrets, vulnerability scanning)
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools in Azure
• Strong Git versioning, branching, and release management skills
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities across cloud environments
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to mentor and collaborate effectively

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for CI/CD orchestration
• Knowledge of Helm and GitOps frameworks such as ArgoCD or Flux
• Familiarity with advanced Azure security tools (Defender, Sentinel, PIM)
• Understanding of FinOps and cost optimization strategies
• Exposure to performance and load testing within CI/CD (k6, JMeter)
• Experience with event-driven architectures using Service Bus or Kafka
• Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry for observability
• Skills in secrets rotation and identity automation
• Experience with OS hardening and patch automation for Windows/Linux
• Relevant certifications (AZ-400, AZ-305, AZ-104, CKA/CKAD, Terraform)
