Take part in one of the largest implementations of a unified data strategy for protecting the firm’s and clients’ data!

As a Business Analyst, you will join the engineering team within the Pharmaceutical industry. You will work with users of Collibra (a leading data management solution) to help create detailed requirements and acceptance criteria to feed into the SCRUM process.

Your Key Responsibilities: Business Analysis in Data Governance Tools

• Take responsibility for the grooming of requirement stories going into the sprint backlog.
• Create user stories for user requirements including detailed business processes, operating model changes, acceptance criteria
• Groom existing user stories to meet required standards for the Collibra development process
• Work with the product owner to prioritize and refine user stories
• Work as part of the IT SCRUM team in the sprint model to ensure no requirements questions or delays impact delivery
• Work with consuming applications to document required data, the purpose of data and all other business processes, validation and ownership requirements
• Support testing data requirements and be an SME on data governance tools
• Create training material on new features/functions of the Collibra Data Governance tool for user training/onboarding
• Demonstrate new capabilities and current capabilities to users and project teams as required
• Works towards obtaining Collibra Certifications, ideally full Ranger certification

As an ideal candidate you have :

• 2 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst
• the pro-active approach to communication
• active communication with customers about problem-solving
• Data analytic and systematic approachability to clearly define the problem and come up with options to solve the problem
• Database background
• SQL
• Working with metadata (metadata from databases and other tools like Informatica or reporting tools like Spotfire, Qlik, Tableau, Cognos, …)
• Data warehousing – knowledge of soft deletes, slowly changing dimensions
• Understanding of ETL process
• Candidate needs to like data, excel, and writing SQL queries
• Understanding what components have reporting tools
•  Good English and communicating skills
• Able to understand the context and be able to explain it to people
• Pro-active approach to communication
• Driving solutions

Nice to have:

• REST API – the ability to write short applications to get data from REST API and create a flat form for it
• Knowledge of reporting tool
• Worked with Collibra
• Completed Collibra certifications.
