Java Developer – PIPG Engineering
As a Java Developer within the PIPG Engineering team, you will be working for one of the most prestigious investment banks in the world. You will join a dynamic and innovative team focused on enhancing our client’s experience by creating technology-driven solutions using leading open-source technologies. In this role, you will work in a client-focused and agile environment, developing low-latency, scalable, and resilient solutions. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse areas within the platform, including pricing automation, trading automation, workflow automation, platform functionality, infrastructure scalability, and data analytics.
Your main responsibilities: Architect, design, and implement end-to-end solutions for various platform functionalities, such as pricing, trading, and workflow automation
- Build scalable, low-latency, and resilient systems that meet client and business requirements.
- Collaborate closely with other team members in an agile environment to deliver innovative solutions.
- Ensure platform stability and infrastructure scalability through proactive development and testing.
- Leverage data analytics to create actionable insights and enhance platform performance.
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- Excellent object-oriented or functional analysis and design skills
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and performance-driven system design
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Expertise in at least one of the following:
- Programming in a compiled language such as Java or C#
- Interpreted languages such as Python, with experience in concurrency and memory management
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge or interest in trading technologies within a front-office trading organization
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and ElasticSearch
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka
