Build a strategic platform for real-time trade processing that is fast, accurate, and highly reliable!

As a Java Support Engineer, you will support the development of solutions for our Client – one of the most prestigious Investment Banks in the world. A successful candidate will join a team that builds innovative tech solutions for a strategic platform. This platform will be used to drive real-time decision-making and trade-booking by traders and sales across a range of business lines on a daily basis.

Your main responsibilities: Support the design, implementation, and testing of distributed systems that track business workflows for trade processing

• Integrate with various internal and external services using industry-standard protocols such as REST and FIX
• Ensure systems can handle high data volumes using established and emerging technologies, techniques, and processes
• Develop tooling and automation facilitating onboarding of new and migrating existing systems onto the platform
• Be involved with all stages of the software development life cycle with a range of technologies, and collaborate closely with engineering teams who support the underlying infrastructure and frameworks
• Work with REST Microservices architecture, Spring Boot, MongoDB, Kafka, Git, GitLab

You are an ideal candidate if you have:

• 3 years of experience with Java 11 or above
• Relational database skills SQL and nonrelational (MongoDB)
• Experience with the full software lifecycle including deployment and support
• Agile, scrum-based development experience
• REST, WSDL, or Microservices experience
• Git or other similar branch-based repositories
• Great communication skills and ability to work successfully in a team
• English that allows reading and writing of technical documentation
