Krakow-based opportunity with a hybrid work model (4 remote days per week).
As a Lead Cybersecurity Engineering Architect – DevSecOps and Automation, you will be working for our client, a major player in the financial sector, focusing on designing and implementing advanced cybersecurity solutions. Your expertise will drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement within HSBC’s Cybersecurity Technology & Engineering team, shaping the future of secure digital banking.
Your main responsibilities:
- Establish and champion the engineering excellence program across Cyber, fostering a community of practice to promote consistency, standardization, and automation.
- Embed efficiency, improvement, and best practices into Cyber engineering processes, tools, and systems.
- Collaborate with teams to set requirements that develop secure, operationally efficient services and capabilities.
- Lead the creation and evolution of standard build and deployment pipelines across Cyber.
- Promote cross-functional reuse and best practices to accelerate product time to market.
- Coach Agile teams to ensure comprehensive 'concept to customer' delivery.
- Define standards and patterns to enhance consistency and efficiency in ways of working.
- Partner with product management to improve business case outcomes when selecting external cybersecurity products.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- At least 8 years of experience in engineering or a related scientific discipline.
- Strong DevOps skills, both hands-on and at the design level.
- Extensive experience as a Senior Engineer or Technical Architect, with a proven leadership record in high-tech or high-change environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or significantly contribute to engineering improvement initiatives in large, complex organizations.
- Strong analytical and solutions-focused mindset, with excellent people management skills across global, decentralized teams.
- Proven influence, relationship-building, and strategic planning capabilities.
- Experience in systems engineering and requirements management.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience within the financial sector or highly regulated industries.
- Knowledge of Cyber Security tools and standards.

- Fluent English (spoken and written).
