As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution, on a project within their Collateral Team. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining a microservices platform on GCP with metaprogramming tools, aiming to automate every aspect of the work and continuously improve tools and processes. We are seeking members for a newly formed team responsible for building, maintaining, and owning our IaC setup, CI/CD pipelines, and associated tooling.

Your main responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure framework and modules
• Manage and monitor GKE, including developing alerting and monitoring infrastructure
• Design, develop, and implement tooling components
• Participate in architectural and technical design decisions for infra and build related subjects
• Support development teams and SREs
• Automate operational processes

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 4+ years of experience in a Cloud DevOps role
• 2+ years of hands-on work in GCP and GKE environments
• Solid Linux knowledge
• Practical experience with tools like: Containers (Docker/Podman), Packer, Ansible, and Git
• Proficiency in Python and Bash
• Proven experience in terraform modules development
• CI/CD development experience
• Familiarity with microservice architecture patterns, git strategies, and software development lifecycle processes
• Proven track record of working on significant projects from conception to completion

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with development for highly regulated environments

• Knowledge of Java and associated frameworks (SpringBoot, SpringCloud)
• Familiarity with Helm, Kustomize, Terragrunt, FluxCD, ArgoCD, Flagger, Jenkins, and GitHub
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Experience with the implementation of GitOps pipelines
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio/Nomad etc.)
• Knowledge of secrets management, networking, and messaging systems (MQ, PUB/SUB etc.)
