As a Senior Java Developer, you will be working for our client, a prominent financial institution, on a project aimed at enhancing surveillance capabilities to detect transactions breaching anti-money laundering policies. Join a dynamic team within the investment banking IT organization, collaborating across global businesses to ensure compliance and security.

Your main responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Product Owner to grasp stakeholder requirements
• Develop, deploy, and monitor solutions using Spring and Spark
• Optimize existing data pipelines and critical ecosystem components
• Ensure development aligns with continuous integration and test-driven development principles
• Validate designs with Architects and uphold agreed-upon approaches
• Conduct unit testing to maintain component quality

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 8+ years of software development experience
• Proficiency in Java and a deep understanding of Spring framework, including Spring Boot
• Experience in Microservice-based architecture and CD/CI tools like Jenkins and Git
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Good technical documentation skills
• Ability to work autonomously, sharing knowledge and documenting effectively
• Self-motivation and the capability to thrive in deadline-driven environments

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Demonstrated responsibility in delivering trading system requirements independently
• Familiarity with ELK monitoring stack and Spark
• Openness in communication and experience in service/operations management environments
• Previous involvement in software delivery and coordination with vendors
• Proficiency in Big Data, Spark, RxJava
