Senior Java Developer / Architect – IT System Design

As a Senior Java Developer / Architect, you will be working for our Client – one of the top insurance companies in Central and Eastern Europe employing over 1000 people in IT. The successful candidate will be a part of an environment in which development cooperates with maintenance, and IT is close to the business. You will join a strategic project aimed to maximize the potential of the Client’s portfolio, increase customer loyalty and ensure effective data management.

Your main responsibilities: supporting Scrum teams as a System Architect

• Designing IT systems
• Taking part in architecture discussions and  recommending solutions
• Increasing the engagement of the architecture team and the architecture community
• Collaborating with Product Owner
• Cooperating with other teams

You are an ideal candidate if you have:

• 7 years of experience in programming IT systems
• Skills in designing IT systems
• High programming skills in Java or Kotlin
• Knowledge of containerization issues (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Good knowledge of the principles of object-oriented programming and design patterns
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum)
• High communication and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of English at a level allows reading technical documentation

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Knowledge of React.js
