As a Test Automation Engineer (BE/API) you will be a key contributor embedded within an Agile cross-functional team, which drives innovation by delivering clients’ products and utilizes maximum automation. You will help to drive the continuous improvement of banking processes, tooling, and engineering practices.

Your main responsibilities: Working with teams to plan and execute tests using the latest UI test automation technologies, processes, and tools to deliver frequently, safely, and efficiently for millions of client customers

• Designing and maintaining automation script suites of delivered functionalities
• Creating new/developing existing test automation tools
• Performing system, integration, and acceptance tests
• Documenting test results by raising defect tickets and creating reports
• Communicating and planning work with BA, PO, APM, and DEV
• Ensuring that delivered functionalities are covered by automated tests on a proper level
• Participating in an engineering discipline, best practices, and standards compliance within the client and global IT
• Supporting other testers in the team
• Contributing to the improvements of the testing process and automation frameworks as part of the wider QA & Test Community

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• 3+ years experience with test automation of Backend/Rest API
• Software development and strong coding skills (experience with Java and Spring Framework)
• Understanding technical roles/requirements of foundational components and executing test approach in accordance.
• Following new ways of working/Agile and contributing as a team
• Proficient in clearly determining QA objectives and standards by analyzing
• requirements
• Broad experience in testing types, including; unit, functional, non-functional,
• regression, exploratory, UAT, ad-hoc, and compatibility testing
• Knowledge of what constitutes useful automation and how to write it
• Git flow understanding
• Working experience with Agile methodologies
• Hands-on experience on REST ASSURED/JUnit framework for API testing, on Core Java, in Wiremock
• Good understanding of REST API types (GET, PUT, POST, DELETE) and their working, Message Schema, RAML, Message Request-Response mechanism, HTTP, JSON protocol, and syntax, of using an object-oriented programming language

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Understanding of STUB/Service virtualization
• Working experience with Spring boot
• Understanding of any API testing tools like – POSTMAN, Rest Client, Anypoint, etc.
• Security testing knowledge
• Working experience with Spring boot
• AWS/IKP
• Docker, Kubernetes
• Performance testing experience with JMeter or similar tools
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
• Experience with Swagger
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in English
• Good ability to work in a team
