DevOps Engineer

Create the main computing system for one of the world’s leading microfinance companies!

Warsaw-based opportunity with the possibility to work 100% remotely

As a DevOps Engineer, you will join the team that creates the core computing system of our Client from the financial industry.  You will have the opportunity to build an environment with microservices and cloud from scratch. The team works on agile principles that are flexible to Client requests and turn around high-quality tested code in short time frames.

Your main responsibilities: Create a new cloud environment for a rapidly growing fintech

• Maintain and evolve efficient platform infrastructure (CI/CD toolset, Observability tools, etc) that enables fast and reliable
• Delivery pace as well as self-service capabilities for development teams
• Maintain and evolve application development environments, and support development teams in troubleshooting.
• Identify and own execution of systems improvement opportunities
• Work closely with Infrastructure, Information Security and Development teams in building reliable, performing, and secure
• systems and components
• Support and coach developers in the use of the infrastructure platform
• Cultivate a healthy DevOps culture

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 3 years of experience in the similar position
• Deep knowledge of Linux systems administration
• Experience with configuration management and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform preferably)
• Knowledge of Cloud computing concepts and Cloud Native architecture
• Cloud infrastructure build experience with leading Cloud infrastructure providers  – AWS
• Understanding and basic practical use of containerisation concepts (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proven knowledge of networking and traffic routing concepts (TCP/IP, standard network protocols, load balancing, reverse proxies, etc)
• Understanding of Infrastructure as a Code concept
• Experience with Version Control Systems and ability to use them on daily workflows (Git preferably)
• Knowledge of standard information security concepts and ability to apply them in building secure systems
• Understanding of software delivery process and concepts
