Senior PHP Developer / BaaS Engineer

As a Senior PHP Developer, you will be working for our Client – a brand new fintech company on the European market. We need you to help our Client identify issues that traditional banks are facing in the time of cloud revolution and to help accelerate processes. This is an opportunity to be associated with most modern and exciting IT projects in the banking sector.

Your main responsibilities: Driving software design and architecture for future scalability and highly performant  solutions

• Building efficient, testable, and reusable modules that follow SOLID design principles
• Solving complex performance problems and architectural challenges
• working actively to evolve the technology platform in close collaboration with the technical product manager and the rest of the team
• Integrating data storage solutions may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.
• Making improvements to existing APIs and building out or re-engineering features
• Working with other team members to problem solve and find solutions to challenging technical issues

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of PHP web frameworks
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind application
• Hands-on experience with REST API, Microservices, Web ServicesStrong
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance
• Understanding of cloud solutions (Azure / Google / AWS)
• Experience in unit and integration testing, CI/CD, automatic build pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred)
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Good knowledge of message queues – Kafka, PubSub, etc
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling
• Experience with multithreaded programming and distributed systems
• Experience in application monitoring (including monitoring tools like ELK)
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Knowledge of domain driven development and event storming
• Fluent English
