Full Stack Engineer

Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office).

As a Full Stack Engineer (Java & React) you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution supporting investment banking services with cutting-edge technology solutions. You will join a distributed development team building and enhancing high-volume FX systems used by institutional clients. The systems are deployed globally and require high performance, scalability, and secure design. Your work will focus on both front-end and back-end components using modern frameworks and DevOps practices. This is a hands-on role in a collaborative, agile environment where daily releases and microservices are the norm.

Your main responsibilities: Developing scalable Java-based backend systems using microservices architecture

• Implementing responsive user interfaces with React and JavaScript frameworks
• Managing deployments and monitoring live systems within a DevOps environment
• Writing clean, secure, and well-documented code
• Collaborating closely with cross-regional teams in Europe, Asia, and North America
• Ensuring high performance and low latency of financial transaction systems
• Working with relational databases like PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Sybase
• Participating in agile ceremonies and contributing to iterative development
• Ensuring cybersecurity compliance and remediating vulnerabilities
• Supporting production systems and resolving issues in collaboration with global teams

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer working with Java
• Hands-on experience with React and modern JavaScript libraries
• Strong understanding of microservices and Spring Boot framework
• Proficiency in relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD tools
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Good knowledge of software security and performance optimization
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to take ownership
• Fluent English
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with investment banking or financial services platforms
• Familiarity with additional back-end languages like Node.js or Golang
• Understanding of containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes
• Exposure to observability tools for monitoring and logging
• Knowledge of messaging systems or event-driven architecture
