As a Java Architect / Team Lead, you will have an opportunity to work on the latest solutions in the eCommerce area for our Client, who ranks among the top worldwide distributors of workplace supplies solutions to businesses – active in 42 countries on 4 continents with more than 1 mln customers. You will join the team creating the next-generation e-commerce platform that aims to provide a seamless end-to-end journey for customers. This e-commerce program will be piloted in France, Italy, and Sweden.
Your main responsibilities: coordinating work between integration analysts and developers
- Providing feedback to integration stream leader and integration advisor about status, issues and risks
- Challenging integration analysts on their proposal
- Proposing and challenging the architecture
- Defining the communication layer between the front and backend
- Defining synchronization process to ensure that frontend and backend are aligned
- Defining events used by the system and shared inside clients’ IT eco-system
- Proposing KPIs to ensure that the system is working correctly
- Contributing and animating event-storming sessions
- Ensuring that the service respect guidelines from enterprise architects
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- 10+ years of hands-on work in software development in an engineering position with direct exposure to code – it is a strictly technical role, and you need to be up to date with modern tech
- Experience in designing Cloud-based, multi-layered applications (database, backend, services, front-end) – either Azure, AWS or GCP
- Experience with Java, Hibernate, and Spring Boot
- Have a good understanding of front-end technologies
- Excellent knowledge of modern software engineering processes and tools (GIT, Jira/Azure DevOps, Agile development practices, DevOps run by the actual dev team, unit testing, etc.)
- Experience in working with Containerization, Cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, e2e testing process, etc.
- Fluent English
- Experience with the following would be considered a strong plus: Kafka Apache, MongoDB, and relational database (MS SQL, PostgreSQL)
