As a Java Developer, you will be part of a cross-functional team that provides services in the Global Banking, and Markets IT department. Your will develop, and maintain its own Algorithmic Trading Container, View Server, and HTML5 based UI and Smart Order Router. You will work on production support issues (via a rota), and be involved in improvements on automation, and dev ops.

Your main responsibilities:

• Building low latency processes, and algorithms.
• Supporting Devops, and production
• Helping to build out the ‘next generation’ of Equities execution
• Working on production support issues (via a rota), and being involved in improvements on automation, and dev ops
• Handling all phases of development (requirements gathering/analysis through to implementation)
• Establishing solid relationships, and trust built on proven delivery

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• Strong Java skills
• Willingness to learn Scala
• Working knowledge of the the JVM (Java Virtual Machine), garbage collection, data structures
• Very good knowledge of collections, their implementation, and their optimization

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Knowledge of zero GC architectures
• Knowledge of Low latency systems
• Experience with Algorithmic Trading Stack
• Ability to communicate directly with the Sales/Trading Desk, and internal Technology teams
