Krakow and London-based opportunity with the possibility to work 80% remotely!

As a Java Developer, you will be part of a cross-functional team that provides services in the Global Banking and Markets IT department. You will work on creating a new in-house, low-latency trading system which will provide the strategic order management functionality within the Cash Equities and Electronic space. You will work in a team of senior devs who largely design by democracy. This is an opportunity for the candidate to come in and add huge value in producing a system that will underpin all Cash, and Electronic trading functionality for the foreseeable future

Your main responsibilities:

• Building out the new low-latency trading system (Hawk)
• DevOps and production supporting
• Building a system/API connecting multiple trading components
• Reviewing other developer’s contributions
• Working on production support issues (via a rota), and being involved in improvements on automation, and dev ops

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• 6+ years of experience with Low latency systems
• Knowledge of Java
• Knowledge of zero GC architectures
• Very good knowledge of collections, their implementation, and their optimization
• Exceptionally high code quality standards

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Understanding of Cash Equities trading
• Knowledge of Aeron
• Knowledge of SBE
