GCP Technical Lead

As an GCP Technical Lead, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution, on a critical project related to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments, with a primary focus on Identity and Access Management (IAM) practices and controls.

Your main responsibilities: providing technical consultancy for GCP environments, specifically in the context of IAM practices and controls

• Collaborating with various engineering teams to define strategic IAM architecture effectively
• Building, supporting, and maintaining custom feeds into an internal compliance database

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Extensive knowledge of GCP infrastructure and services, including security-related aspects
• Proven experience in implementing and maintaining security controls in GCP, such as firewall rules, access controls, encryption, and threat protection
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices, compliance requirements, and industry standards like ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI DSS
• Experience in security and compliance assessments, including identifying and remediating security risks
• Strong understanding of network security and securing network connections, such as VPN and VPCs
• Proficiency in identity and access management in GCP, including managing roles, permissions, and policies
• Knowledge of security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and SIEM solutions
• Ability to develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures for secure and compliant cloud deployments
• Programming and scripting skills in languages like Python, Go, and Bash
• Familiarity with cloud-native security solutions, including Google Cloud Armor and security partners on the GCP Marketplace
