As a DPS Storage SME, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial services organization. In this role, you will focus on ensuring that the Storage & Data Protection Services infrastructure meets customer needs through the design and development of high-quality solutions. You will collaborate closely with engineers and technical leads to deliver cost-effective, scalable storage systems that align with enterprise standards and improve business data capabilities. Your leadership will shape the future of data protection and infrastructure for a data-driven environment.
Your main responsibilities:
- Leading the design and architecture of storage and data protection solutions
- Collaborating with technical teams to resolve operational issues and ensure performance
- Ensuring the solutions meet customer requirements and align with platform architecture
- Managing and maintaining the agile development lifecycle for design activities
- Translating requirements into actionable design solutions that influence product direction
- Addressing design defects and ensuring timely resolution of operational issues
- Supporting the improvement of observability solutions using tools like Splunk and Grafana
- Working with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions
- Participating in agile ceremonies, such as standups and problem-solving meetings
- Driving continuous improvement in technology stack, data quality, and reliability
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Proven experience in solutions design and architecture for storage infrastructure
- Deep technical expertise in Block, File, Object, and Data Protection technologies
- Familiarity with storage technologies like Dell, Pure, HPE, and Netapp
- Hands-on experience with data protection tools such as Veritas or CommVault
- Knowledge of observability solutions and streaming technologies like Kafka
- Strong understanding of agile frameworks, particularly Scrum and Kanban
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and architects
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own development
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience in IT within the finance sector
- Experience with OpenTelemetry and observability tooling
- Knowledge of the financial industry’s IT environment and infrastructure requirements
