As an MSSQL Database Administrator, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution engaged in a strategic modernization of its core infrastructure. You will play a key role in a large-scale digital transformation project aimed at migrating mission-critical database systems to a more robust, secure, and high-performing environment. This role involves designing, planning, and executing end-to-end MSSQL migrations while collaborating closely with application teams to ensure seamless data integrity and system availability. Your expertise will directly contribute to the bank’s continued commitment to operational excellence and regulatory compliance..
Your main responsibilities: Building new MSSQL infrastructure and migrating data from legacy systems
- Preparing and executing pre-implementation, post-verification, and rollback plans
- Optimizing database performance prior to production cutover
- Collaborating with application SMEs to ensure end-to-end functional testing
- Automating migration and administration tasks using PowerShell and SQL scripts
- Maintaining detailed documentation of migration strategies and procedures
- Ensuring database environments meet security and compliance requirements
- Troubleshooting issues across database and operating system layers
- Supporting high-availability MSSQL setups and validating failover mechanisms
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery
You’re ideal for this role if you have:

- Familiarity with middleware technologies like IBM Liberty or WebSphere
- Exposure to closed-source third-party products used in enterprise infrastructure
- Understanding of DevOps practices related to database deployments
- Knowledge of ITIL framework or enterprise change management processes
- Experience with compliance and regulatory database controls
