Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (6 days/month in the office)

As a Data Product Owner, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution undergoing a digital transformation to enhance its customer data strategies. You will be leading key initiatives that focus on improving how customer data is collected, processed, and leveraged across the organization. Operating at the intersection of business and technology, you will shape product strategies that align with regulatory standards and commercial goals. Your work will involve close collaboration with architecture teams and stakeholders to ensure data products deliver maximum value while minimizing operational friction.

Your main responsibilities: Defining and evolving the data product strategy aligned with enterprise goals

  • Translating product vision into actionable backlogs and managing delivery roadmaps
  • Collaborating with architects and developers to design scalable data solutions
  • Communicating the product vision across engineering, business, and stakeholder teams
  • Gathering and prioritising requirements through data analysis and stakeholder feedback
  • Facilitating backlog grooming sessions and managing MVP and feature release planning
  • Leading discussions on data quality, compliance, and regulatory impact
  • Monitoring KPIs, OKRs, and SLAs to measure and optimise product performance
  • Ensuring alignment of data strategy across value streams and business units
  • Supporting go-live planning and post-deployment quality control processes

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Extensive experience in a data-focused Product Owner or Product Manager role
  • Proven background in systems integration or technical architecture roles
  • Strong experience with onboarding and KYC/CDD solutions
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product lifecycle management
  • Ability to engage effectively with architects, developers, and business stakeholders
  • Strong decision-making skills using cost and value-driven prioritisation methods
  • Experience in regulated industries with a focus on data governance
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and process design capabilities
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and drive cross-functional collaboration
  • Confidence to test, iterate, and adapt strategy based on data-driven insights

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and financial decision frameworks
  • Hands-on knowledge of data mastering and customer data strategy
  • Exposure to digital transformation programs in large enterprises
  • Previous work on Decision Systems or related product launches
  • Ability to influence at senior leadership level with clarity and impact
  • Knowledge of customer service systems across financial services
  • Experience driving operational change through data-centric services
  • Technical knowledge to challenge assumptions in data architecture discussions
  • Awareness of emerging trends in data compliance and risk management
  • Familiarity with tools for backlog management, data visualisation, and user analytics
