Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (1 day/week in the office)

As a Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution undertaking a strategic transformation of its financial engineering infrastructure. You will be supporting the design and delivery of modelling solutions, engaging closely with IT teams, modelling experts, and business stakeholders. This role involves bridging business needs with technical solutions, ensuring future state architecture alignment, and facilitating communication across impacted teams. You will be driving agile delivery processes, preparing functional artefacts, and supporting testing and rollout activities across a highly collaborative and international environment.

Your main responsibilities: Gathering and documenting business requirements for modelling infrastructure tooling and innovation solutions

  • Preparing AS IS and TO BE artefacts including functional designs and operating model impacts
  • Assessing changes against future state architecture and ensuring alignment
  • Supporting agile delivery by leading and participating in ceremonies
  • Preparing and executing test plans, scripts, and functional testing
  • Coordinating with stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and knowledge transfer
  • Supporting rollouts by preparing user training and communication materials
  • Collaborating with IT, developers, and modelling teams to deliver strategic solutions
  • Monitoring progress and ensuring adherence to project milestones
  • Identifying risks, issues, and proposing mitigation strategies

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • A degree in a quantitative subject and at least 7 years of business analyst experience in banking
  • Strong understanding of credit risk and related models such as PD, EAD, and LGD
  • Proven experience delivering change projects and producing artefacts such as business requirements, functional architecture, and test plans
  • Solid experience with Agile methodologies and ceremonies
  • Proficiency in JIRA for project tracking and collaboration
  • Intermediate proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience working with diagramming tools such as Visio
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a self-starter attitude
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage conflict and expectations

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience in analytics or modelling as a modeller, change professional, or IT specialist
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification
  • Financial Risk Manager (FRM) or Professional Risk Manager (PRM) certification
