Introduction
As a Senior GCP AI Engineer – Cloud AI Solutions, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution focused on building scalable, secure, and efficient backend services within a cutting-edge AI team. You will contribute to the development of ingestion pipelines, model inference projects, and cloud infrastructure, directly impacting the efficacy and stability of their core systems. This role offers the chance to be part of a newly formed team shaping the future of banking technology with modern tooling and international collaboration.

Your main responsibilities:

• Implement scalable backend solutions using best design patterns on GCP, ensuring robust and efficient infrastructure.
• Analyze requirements to recommend and implement improvements, contributing to system stability and UX enhancements.
• Lead UI modifications and optimizations to elevate application performance and user experience.
• Drive DevOps automation initiatives, improving CI/CD lifecycles within GCP environments including Terraform, Cloud Build, and Cloud Monitoring.
• Manage changes through the Service Management lifecycle, supporting continuous delivery and deployment.
• Participate in software architecture design, creating prototypes to validate concepts and streamline development.
• Offer exceptional customer support by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across different time zones, ensuring seamless project delivery.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 7 years of professional experience in production application development, with strong troubleshooting skills in high-pressure environments.
• Proficiency in one or more of Python, Java, or C# and experience in Web API development.
• Hands-on experience with React for building dynamic, high-performance web applications.
• Strong SQL skills with expertise in database design, scripting, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Solid working knowledge of GCP services such as Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and IAM, with proven ability to deploy and operate production workloads.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform, and GCP-native DevOps tools like Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, and Cloud Monitoring.
• Practical experience with CI/CD practices, including automated testing pipelines.
• Familiarity with the full SDLC process from requirements gathering to maintenance.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail to deliver high-quality solutions.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Exposure to AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Gemini Code Assist.
• Broader DevOps or automation experience beyond the baseline.
• Deeper front-end knowledge beyond basic implementations.

Language Required for the role:

• Fluent in English and Polish, with excellent communication skills.
