Senior iOS Developer – Banking and Fintech Expertise

Location & Work Model: Krakow-based opportunity with hybrid work model (up to 3 remote days per week).

As a Senior iOS Developer, you will be working for our client, a leader in banking technology, dedicated to delivering high-quality native iOS features within a regulated financial services environment. You will help build secure, scalable, and user-centric mobile applications that drive digital transformation and elevate customer experiences.

Your main responsibilities:

• Deliver end-to-end iOS features, from discovery and design to implementation, testing, and release.
• Build and maintain native iOS components using Swift, applying modern architectural patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and API teams to develop resilient, scalable solutions.
• Ensure high engineering standards through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous refactoring.
• Implement secure-by-design practices aligned with banking controls, including secure storage and authentication flows.
• Monitor and improve app performance, stability, and reliability, reducing crashes and launch times.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and release readiness initiatives.
• Mentor engineers, share knowledge, and foster team capability through pairing, coaching, and establishing pragmatic standards.
• Maintain clear technical documentation including architecture decisions and operational runbooks.
• Collaborate across teams and time zones to unblock delivery, manage dependencies, and proactively mitigate risks.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance team efficiency without compromising quality or security.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 5 years of experience developing native iOS applications in a commercial environment.
• Expert-level proficiency in Swift and a strong understanding of iOS fundamentals (app lifecycle, concurrency, background execution).
• Hands-on experience with iOS frameworks such as SwiftUI, UIKit, and persistence mechanisms like Core Data.
• Solid knowledge of integration patterns, REST APIs, error handling, resilience strategies, and offline-first design considerations.
• Proven experience writing and maintaining automated tests, including unit and UI tests (XCTest, XCUITest, mocks/stubs).
• Practical understanding of Git workflows and Agile methodologies.
• Deep awareness of mobile security best practices, especially for regulated environments.
• Modern UI development experience, with familiarity in SwiftUI.
• Knowledge of dependency injection, reactive programming (Swift Concurrency, Combine, RxSwift).
• Experience with observability tools for crash reporting and performance monitoring.
• Prior background in banking, financial services, or similarly regulated sectors.
• Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles in iOS development.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certifications or additional skills in mobile security or UI/UX design.
• Experience with feature flags, A/B testing, or experimentation frameworks.

Language Required for the role:

• Good command of English (Communicative level required).
