Kraków-based opportunity with hybrid work model (up to 4 days remote per week).
As a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution, managing an extensive portfolio of HSBC Public Websites and Intranet Workplace. Your expertise will help engineer and operate secure, resilient Azure platform capabilities, fostering innovation in a regulated environment and driving operational excellence.
Your main responsibilities:
- Engineer Azure foundation platform solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), primarily Terraform, ensuring scalable and reusable code patterns.
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud service patterns, integrating shared enterprise services like IAM, monitoring, and OS images.
- Manage Azure connectivity, including ExpressRoute, DNS, IP management, traffic routing, NSGs, and firewalls.
- Implement and enforce security controls and standards, ensuring compliance with security and operational risk policies.
- Support CI/CD pipeline automation, troubleshooting platform, and pipeline issues across teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Produce clear, comprehensive technical documentation, including runbooks, operational procedures, and design specifications.
- Collaborate closely with platform engineering, security, and operations teams to optimize resilience, scalability, and security.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- At least 5 years of experience engineering cloud infrastructure, with hands-on expertise in Azure services and Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of Azure networking (ExpressRoute, DNS, NSGs, firewalls, IP management).
- Proven experience supporting CI/CD environments and automated testing practices.
- Familiarity with security and operational risk controls in regulated environments, including patching, hardening, monitoring, and resiliency.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills across cloud infrastructure, networking, and delivery pipelines.
- Ability to produce precise technical documentation (designs, runbooks, procedures).
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Familiarity with SRE/operational excellence practices (SLIs/SLOs, incident management, post-incident reviews).
- Experience working within centrally governed cloud standards and control frameworks in large enterprises.
Language Required for the role:
- English — communicative proficiency required.
