Location & Work Model: Warsaw-based opportunity with remote work (5 days per week).

As a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer – Platform Migration and Automation Expert, you will be working for our client, a leading financial industry player, to accelerate their migration of Markets applications to the Bank’s Catalyst Private Cloud data centers. You will contribute to building resilient, automated, and efficient cloud platforms that enhance operational stability and development velocity, shaping the future of enterprise cloud infrastructure.

Your main responsibilities:

• Accelerate application migration to private cloud using standardized platforms, repeatable patterns, and streamlined processes.
• Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to develop scalable, resilient solutions, ensuring system failures are managed gracefully.
• Automate manual tasks related to provisioning, deployment, observability, and support to improve efficiency and reduce incidents.
• Implement proactive capacity planning using automated predictive analysis, ensuring seamless capacity upgrades ahead of demand.
• Drive improvements in development and operational performance by leveraging SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and real-time monitoring dashboards.
• Promote best practices for continuous delivery, aiming for zero operational incidents during releases.
• Design migration-ready solutions across networking, container platforms, middleware, and security domains while aligning with compliance standards.
• Enhance observability and telemetry using logs, metrics, and traces, ensuring end-to-end traceability of critical user journeys.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering tools to optimize troubleshooting, development workflows, and operational analysis.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning, providing guidance and training to team members and stakeholders.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 7 years of experience in cloud DevOps, platform engineering, or related fields.
• Strong expertise in automation, scripting (Python, Bash), and CI/CD tooling such as Azure DevOps, Ansible, Rundeck.
• Proven experience with container platforms migration (e.g., OCP to Kubernetes variants).
• In-depth knowledge of networking, proxies, DNS, load balancers, and firewalls.
• Hands-on experience with observability tooling such as Elastic, Grafana, OTEL, and Kibana.
• Practical application of middleware technologies like Kafka, NGINX, IBM MQ, and cloud security solutions.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance engineering productivity.
• Ability to operate as a DevOps generalist across multiple domains including infrastructure, security, and cloud environments.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certifications in Cloud, DevOps, or Automation (e.g., AWS, Azure, Kubernetes certifications).
• Experience with enterprise platforms such as Oracle, Postgres, or cloud-native databases.

Fluent English (spoken and written).
