As a Senior Python and Node.js Software Security Engineer – Cloud Platforms, you will be working for our client, a leading player in the technology industry dedicated to enhancing software security and engineering excellence. Your main responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver secure, high-performance backend services using Python (Django) and Node.js (Typescript/NestJS).
• Architect solutions on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and optimize PostgreSQL query performance for high concurrency.
• Build, maintain, and improve OAuth2/OpenID Connect workflows within GCP environments, ensuring resilience and cost-efficiency.
• Lead the lifecycle of services, ensuring they are scalable, observable, and secure against emerging threats.
• Promote engineering excellence through technical mentorship, knowledge sharing, and community-building activities.
• Drive automation from inception to implementation, reducing manual toil and streamlining delivery.
• Stay abreast of industry shifts including Go-Lang, Rust, and Typescript, and guide the team on evolving trends and best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of security standards, treating security as a fundamental feature, not an afterthought.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in backend development or software security.
• Hands-on expertise in Python (Django) and Node.js (Typescript/NestJS).
• Proven experience with GCP services such as Cloud Run, GKE, and infrastructure automation using Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, Zero Trust models, and experience designing scalable, secure backend systems.
• Ability to develop and manage OAuth2/OpenID Connect flows.
• Solid understanding of high-performance databases like PostgreSQL and event-driven architecture with Pub/Sub.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Contributions to open source projects or a Github portfolio demonstrating your expertise.
• Experience with Go-Lang, Rust, or similar technologies.
• Relevant certifications or additional cloud architecture skills.
