Senior Java Developer – Android Banking Solutions

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution dedicated to building secure, cutting-edge digital banking solutions. You will contribute to developing Android-based banking applications that reach millions of users worldwide, playing a vital role in feature delivery, performance tuning, and maintaining top-notch code quality. Your main responsibilities:

• Designing and developing Java-based Android banking applications to enhance user experience and security
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement new features, enhancements, and optimizations
• Conducting code reviews and writing comprehensive unit tests to ensure high quality standards
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to maintain seamless application performance
• Participating in architectural discussions and technical planning sessions
• Contributing to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release processes
• Mentoring junior engineers and fostering knowledge sharing within the team
• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve solutions

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 5+ years of Java development experience, with a focus on Android applications
• Proficiency in Spring, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Familiarity with unit testing tools like JUnit and Mockito
• Understanding of CI/CD tools and best practices
• Solid problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Commitment to writing secure, maintainable, and high-quality code

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or IBM MQ
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS (EKS, Lambda), Azure, or GCP
• Background in banking or fintech environments
• Knowledge of ORM frameworks like Hibernate or MyBatis
• Experience working in international, distributed teams
