As a Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a global leader in financial services. In this role, you will support PALMS – a post-trade monitoring system to ensure trades comply with market risk mandates. You will be responsible for implementing database requests, troubleshooting issues, and supporting regulatory deliveries. Collaborating closely with system developers, product control teams, market risk management, and other stakeholders, you will ensure seamless system operations and improvements. This dynamic environment requires strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving, and effective communication.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support to PALMS users and build collaborative relationships
  • Respond to ad hoc queries and implement BAU requests within the PALMS database (SQL)
  • Assist PALMS Development team with testing new versions and providing feedback
  • Support the roll-out of PALMS to new sites, including developing and testing functionality
  • Assist with internal product workstreams and build new links with HMS and DSL systems
  • Raise and implement design and performance enhancements in the system
  • Ensure compliance with Global Markets FIM and manage operational risks
  • Facilitate streamlining of processes to improve productivity
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at various levels
  • Engage with team members on projects and contribute to team discussions

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • Ambitious, driven, and enthusiastic
  • Experience with financial data
  • Familiarity with SQL programming language
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Ability to manage relationships with multiple senior stakeholders
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • University graduate in finance, business, economics, mathematics, physics, engineering, or a similar field
  • Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience working with post-trade monitoring systems
  • Knowledge of market risk mandates and regulatory requirements
