As a Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution dedicated to fostering a data-driven culture through advanced data management practices and technology-driven initiatives. In this role, you will be pivotal in implementing data governance and quality control, particularly focused on data movement and integrity. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll facilitate change management processes using Agile methodologies and support data analysis initiatives to improve customer and business outcomes, aligning closely with the company’s vision for reliable and secure data practices.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analysis on business operations and data processes to drive informed recommendations
  • Collaborate with Program Managers and Scrum Masters to align on project goals and priorities
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions through workshops, interviews, and document analysis
  • Work with Solution Architects and IT partners to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Support the design phase by refining requirements and ensuring alignment with overall data strategy
  • Coordinate and oversee testing phases, tracking and documenting outcomes
  • Ensure quality through end-to-end project life cycle management, from requirement gathering to deployment
  • Facilitate training and support for business readiness and implementation
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders and senior management across multiple markets
  • Contribute to the development and adoption of business analysis practices within the organization

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in complex, global projects
  • Proven expertise in data management, specifically data storage controls and movement
  • Proficiency in process analysis and mapping for large-scale change management initiatives
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including functions like VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and IF statements
  • Strong stakeholder management experience with a proven ability to communicate across levels and regions
  • Hands-on experience with Agile project management and development methodologies
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proven success in a global matrix organization structure

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Agile certifications (e.g., SAFe, CSM)
  • Familiarity with HSBC standards and data governance practices
  • Working knowledge of financial industry data standards and protocols
