Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (6 days/month in the office).

As a Cybersecurity Project Manager – Cryptography, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution undergoing a major transformation in its cryptographic controls. The organization is enhancing its cryptographic tooling, practices, and capabilities for both on-premise and cloud environments. You will be responsible for managing projects related to key management systems, working alongside cryptography SMEs, control owners, IT teams, and other project managers to ensure the successful implementation of improved cryptographic controls and technologies. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring security enhancements and compliance across the organization.

Your main responsibilities: Managing the Path to Amber and planning the Path to Effective projects to completion

  • Leading internal and external teams, including partners and vendors, to achieve agreed technological and procedural improvements
  • Working with business and technology owners to define scope and set priorities
  • Providing supporting documentation, regular progress reports, and managing risks and issues
  • Managing and assuring the quality of deliverables
  • Ensuring alignment with cybersecurity and compliance policies
  • Coordinating with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
  • Overseeing project timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
  • Facilitating communication between technical and non-technical teams
  • Adapting project management approaches based on the organization’s needs

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Hands-on experience delivering projects throughout the full lifecycle, including planning, controlling, monitoring, and reporting
  • Proven track record of working with technical, cybersecurity, and operations teams
  • Strong and effective stakeholder engagement and management skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Experience managing projects related to cryptographic controls and key management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and complex environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with risk management and compliance frameworks
  • Knowledge of cloud security and encryption technologies
  • Experience working in financial services or a regulated industry

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Previous experience defining and leading projects in the cybersecurity domain
  • Experience working with global teams across different time zones
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies
  • Proficiency in MS-Project, JIRA, and Confluence
  • Certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or cybersecurity (CISSP, CISM)
