As an Data Analyst (HINV/Elevate), you will be working for our client, a leading financial services organization dedicated to creating a world-class data-driven ecosystem. This role involves partnering with global teams and IT departments to develop and maintain a revolutionary data analytics platform. You will engage with business stakeholders to understand problems, assist data engineers, build and test models, and oversee production deployment. The aim is to deliver high-quality business insights and enhance customer experiences through well-managed and trusted data assets.
Your main responsibilities:
- Defining and obtaining source data required to deliver insights and use cases
- Determining the data mapping needed to join multiple data sets from various sources
- Creating methods to highlight and report data inconsistencies for user feedback
- Supporting SIT, UAT, and Production Support processes
- Assisting in planning, tracking, and coordinating the data migration team and run-book scope for each cutover
- Documenting data design and solutions for future reference
- Validating, analyzing, data modeling, and writing clear use stories for Data Engineers
- Proposing suitable data migration sets to relevant stakeholders
- Collaborating with data architects, data engineering, and cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making processes
- Identifying data requirements and specifications that accurately reflect business needs and underlying processes
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related areas
- Proven experience in a Business/Data Analyst role
- Strong communication skills to present complex data insights clearly and actionably
- Proficiency in fundamental data modeling concepts, including entity-relationship modeling and data flow diagrams
- Good understanding of industry-standard methodologies and tools for data modeling, exploration, and profiling
- Experience using data models and data dictionaries in a Banking and Financial Markets context
- Basic knowledge of Python and SQL, with the ability to navigate databases, especially Hive
- Familiarity with Google Cloud platform data management services and technologies, such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, and Dataflow
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex data sets
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Knowledge and experience in Data Quality & Governance
- Good knowledge of SDLC and formal Agile processes, with a preference for TDD
- Experience with large time-series data sets
- Understanding of Data Definition Tagging processes, such as Logical to Physical Mapping and Data Processing Flow consistency
