Krakow-based opportunity with the possibility to work 60% remote

As a Data Modeller, you will be working for our client, a global financial services organization, to support their Wholesale Data & Analytics IT department. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining high-quality data models to enhance business and IT operations. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including business users and architects, to ensure that the data models align with the business strategy, regulatory standards, and operational risk controls. This is a dynamic, high-paced role where innovation and quality are key to success.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Translating business requirements into conceptual, logical, and semantic data models
  • Promoting data modelling principles, standards, and best practices across the organization
  • Supporting the development of scalable, reusable data assets in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Designing enterprise and targeted logical models to aid system development and data asset creation
  • Engaging with the Client’s dapartment to ensure the alignment of data models with trusted sources and business ownership
  • Working closely with project teams to ensure that data models meet business objectives and satisfy relevant controls
  • Communicating data models and solution designs to both business users and development teams
  • Contributing to the definition and documentation of data architecture solutions in line with group standards
  • Quickly understanding the existing data landscape and applying analytical skills to improve data management practices
  • Resolving complex data-related issues using strong problem-solving techniques

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Proven experience in logical data modelling and delivering artefacts adhering to governance standards
  • Strong conceptual and logical thinking skills, with the ability to look at the bigger picture
  • Experience designing enterprise logical models with a good understanding of abstraction techniques
  • Knowledge or experience in industry models such as BIAN, FSDM, and BDW
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to both IT and business stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a track record of resolving complex data issues
  • Experience working in large, complex, and geographically dispersed teams
  • Proficiency with data management tools such as Visual Paradigm, IBM Infosphere Data Architect, or CA Erwin Data Modeler
  • Experience in data governance, management, and architecture within the financial services industry
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience with Collibra or Informatica Data Management Suite
  • Familiarity with the data landscape and practices in financial services
  • Experience working across different time zones and managing remote teams
  • Previous experience as a data analyst, solutions analyst, or architect
  • A commercial acumen with the ability to understand both business and IT requirements
