Data Solution Architect

Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office).

As a Data Solution Architect, you will be working for our client, a global financial leader driving next-generation data platforms to support regulatory compliance, business growth, and technology modernization. You will be leading the design and governance of complex data and solution architectures, ensuring they are cost-effective, aligned with enterprise strategy, and compliant with best practices. You will also be collaborating with DevOps, engineers, and business stakeholders to shape robust data models, define architecture standards, and support agile delivery in a dynamic and high-impact environment.

Your main responsibilities: Designing cost-effective and scalable data and solution architectures

• Collaborating with DevOps teams to resolve design and operational issues
• Translating business needs into actionable architectural solutions
• Ensuring alignment of solutions with enterprise data strategy and roadmaps
• Leading data model development across conceptual, logical, and physical layers
• Acquiring and managing approvals from technical authorities
• Governing architectural compliance with standards and best practices
• Supporting integration and cloud architecture strategy and documentation
• Participating in data and architecture governance activities
• Communicating architecture decisions and risks to technical and non-technical audiences

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in data engineering or architecture
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data modeling
• Strong knowledge of data architecture and warehousing methodologies
• Proven experience with Big Data tools such as Spark, Hive, and HDFS
• Strong understanding of transactional and analytical database design
• Proficiency in stakeholder management and technical communication
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Experience with metadata management and architectural governance
• Technical fluency in SQL, Python or Scala
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation with good command of written and spoken English

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with data architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
• Background in AI/ML infrastructure including MLOps and GenAI platforms
• Exposure to microservices design and Kubernetes-hosted solutions
• Experience with NoSQL, graph, or in-memory databases
• Hands-on modeling experience using tools like Erwin or IDA
