Full Stack Developer

As a Full Stack Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution focused on transforming their onboarding process to enhance client experience and foster long-term relationships. This project involves modernizing legacy systems, reducing tech debt, and breaking down monolithic architectures into smaller, efficient services. The goal is to drive the organization’s DevOps agenda, promote continuous delivery, and streamline collaboration across various teams including infrastructure, security, and business risk.

Your main responsibilities:

• Collaborating with team members and business stakeholders to understand requirements
• Implementing technical solutions based on industry standards and best practices
• Testing solutions thoroughly before User Acceptance Testing
• Deploying components to development and test environments as needed
• Owning end-to-end software delivery from analysis to production support
• Releasing code to production and handling production change requests
• Participating in intra-day and overnight support
• Writing and maintaining technical documentation
• Debugging, extending functionality, and fixing issues in existing code
• Reading and writing data from a Postgres database

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong knowledge of Java 8+
• Good experience with ReactJS, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
• Ability to write REST APIs and understand microservice architecture
• Experience with Continuous Delivery methods, including TDD and automated testing
• Competence in CI-CD tooling and building CI-CD pipelines independently
• Knowledge of Redux store management
• Familiarity with database schema design and experience with SQL and relational databases
• Hands-on experience working in Unix environments
• Strong Java server-side development skills
• Ability to consider and implement security measures around functionalities

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with Postgres
• Understanding of working in DevOps PODs with rotational production support
• Background in a front-office environment within an investment bank
• Experience with Oracle databases
• Prior experience supporting a global trading desk in a large investment bank
• Familiarity with Puppet, Docker, Clojure, Rust, Haskell, InfluxDB, or Go
• Experience working with APIs or integrations with core banking or customer data systems
• Experience with wholesale data platforms
