Financial Controller – Equity Underwriting, Bond Underwriting & M&A

Warsaw-based opportunity with the possibility to work 60% remotely!

As a Financial Controller, you’ll be a key member of the Product Control team of our client – One of the largest Private bank in the world. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data for Equity Underwriting, Bond Underwriting, and M&A activities.

Your main responsibilities: Oversee incoming cash accounts for timely clearance

• Take full ownership of the global Balance Sheet for Equity Underwriting, Bond Underwriting, and M&A, including daily compilation, sharing with regional teams, collecting commentary from stakeholders, and monitoring aged items
• Perform reconciliations between product processors and ledgers at month-end and quarter-end
• Leverage digital tools to streamline data pulls, aging analysis, and commentary input
• Manage intercompany reconciliations, including reviewing, resolving discrepancies, and preventing future issues
• Assist teams with investigations related to IBSL, SDPP, and FFS reconciliations

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference for Finance or Accounting (CPA or CFA a plus)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (Financial Control, Internal Control, or Audit preferred)
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals
• Ability to analyze large datasets, identify anomalies, and pinpoint root causes of errors
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to present findings clearly
• Motivated, organized, and a team player
