As a Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a global banking institution, within the GBM Product Control division at the Global Finance Centre. You will play a crucial role in supporting the PALMS system, focusing on post-trade monitoring of Global Markets trades against Market Risk mandates. Your responsibilities include implementing BAU requests, troubleshooting system issues, testing new developments, and supporting regulatory program deliveries.

Your main responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day support to PALMS users and assist in building collaborative relationships with stakeholders
• Respond to ad hoc queries and implement BAU requests within the PALMS database (SQL)
• Assist PALMS Development team in testing new system versions and providing feedback
• Aid in PALMS roll-out to satellite sites, including developing monitoring functionality and providing training
• Assist with developments related to internal product workstream and integration with hierarchy management system
• Raise and/or implement design and performance enhancements in the system

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• University degree in financial, business, or economic subject
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and proactive problem-solving approach
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Familiarity with programming language SQL
• Advanced MS Excel skills

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Ambitious, driven, and enthusiastic attitude
• Experience working in a global banking environment
• Previous experience in a similar business analyst role
• Knowledge of Global Markets products and trading
• Understanding of regulatory requirements in the financial industry
• Proven ability to manage relationships with multiple senior stakeholders
