As a Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution focused on transforming its Product Control function. The project aims to enhance organizational efficiency through process improvement, technological advancements, and simplification. You will collaborate with Product Control, Finance Change, and IT teams to support project delivery, resolve issues, and communicate progress. Your role will ensure business analysis outcomes comply with best practices and provide substantial support during system test phases.
Your main responsibilities: Producing high-quality project analysis, including data, process mapping, and benefit validation
- Working closely with the local product control team to assess and document change impacts
- Leading the Finance requirements in system test phases of the project
- Coordinating Finance elements of User Acceptance Tests
- Ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks within agreed plans
- Maintaining accurate and efficient data analysis aligned with planned milestones
- Supporting the project by documenting processes clearly for future handover
- Liaising with Finance, Product Control, and IT teams to confirm requirements and deliverables
- Building effective working relationships with Global Markets business and Finance IT
- Providing comprehensive written business project documentation to a high standard
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Prior working knowledge of Global Banking and Markets within the Valuations control domain
- At least two years of project delivery experience
- A good understanding of the Project Lifecycle
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Access
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and contribute to a team
- Self-motivation and a proven rapid learning capability in a changing environment
- A delivery-focused mindset with attention to quality and timeliness
- A ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to support the team as needed
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Qualified accountant status with a strong knowledge of Global Market Products
- Ability to build relationships and influence various stakeholders, including business heads and technical experts
- Experience in managing conflicting requirements or identifying potential redundant work
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards within the financial sector
- Experience in producing clear project artefacts and documentation
