As a Filetransfer Expert for Sterling Integrator, you will be working for our client, a leading global banking and markets organization. This dynamic environment generates millions of transactions across diverse financial markets, requiring robust IT systems for trading, sales, customer tools, transaction handling, and financial reporting. You will join the “Banking and Market Applications” team, focusing on the planning, integration, and operation of a crucial file transfer framework. Collaborating with business analysts, application managers, and product managers, you will bridge IT Operations and application development, ensuring efficient and secure file transfer processes.
Your main responsibilities:
- Planning and integrating the file transfer infrastructure based on IBM Sterling Integrator, Connect, and sFTP
- Operating the high-availability file transfer framework for the organization
- Acting as the technical contact for all internal and external stakeholders
- Communicating with project managers, product owners, business owners, and external clients about file transfer features and requirements
- Identifying areas for improvement and driving change to completion
- Actively participating in a self-organized DevOps team
- Participating in on-call alarming line service on a weekly basis
- Ensuring compliance with security and certificate handling requirements
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced agile development environment
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, business stakeholders, and external clients
- Profound IT technical background with experience in operating systems (especially RHEL), network security, and certificate handling
- Experience with file transfer methods, ideally with the IBM Sterling product line
- A degree with an IT focus or equivalent IT work experience
- A drive to implement and foster DevOps practices
- A team spirit with a reliable and responsible approach to job routines and documentation standards
- Readiness to participate in team shift planning, including weekend tasks
- Fluent English
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience with agile practices such as Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps
- Previous work experience in a similar role within a banking or financial markets environment
- Fluent German
- Knowledge of high-availability frameworks and infrastructure
- Familiarity with automated monitoring and alerting tools
- Certification in relevant IT areas or technologies
