As an Back-end JavaScript/ API Specialist, you will be working for our client. The client is a leading organization in the field of carbon removal and sustainable solutions. They are committed to creating breakthrough experiences for end users by managing APIs as valuable products. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the technical vision for API products and ensuring seamless integration within the Puro platform.

Your main responsibilities: Design and review the construction of APIs, ensuring adherence to best practices and high standards in API design

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a vision for API products, aligning them with business goals
• Manage the entire API product lifecycle, from inception to release, prioritizing based on API consumption data and user feedback
• Deeply understand the technical specifications and benefits of the API product, effectively communicating these to stakeholders
• Explore opportunities for monetizing APIs and generating revenue

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Proven experience in building and launching APIs, including API-based products and services
• Ability to partner with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and business executives
• Familiarity with reference architectures and best practices for API development
• A customer-centric mindset, ensuring APIs meet user needs and drive value
• Strong understanding of Node.js, TypeScript, and related technologies
• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s) is advantageous
