As a Mid-Level Data & Reporting Developer – Cloud and Big Data, you will be working for our client, a leading financial services institution committed to leveraging data to transform decision-making and customer experience. You will support the development of data technology solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and optimize data operations within a dynamic cloud environment—all playing a key role in shaping the future of data-driven financial solutions.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Develop data technology solutions using Python, TSQL, C#, and other languages to support business needs
  • Support technical leadership in evaluating and recommending data consumption engines and emerging technologies
  • Create and maintain data warehouses, big data systems, and ETL tools to facilitate data integration across platforms
  • Optimize data query performance and manage data ingestion, sourcing, and aggregation workflows
  • Build, publish, and maintain data assets for real-time analytics and reporting
  • Design, implement, and document data architecture and data modeling solutions
  • Develop secure, automated data pipelines and oversee code deployment processes
  • Set up data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting to ensure reliable data analytics flows
  • Deliver complex reports within Google Cloud environment and/or Microsoft SQL Server
  • Create and maintain data visualizations in Looker Studio / Data Studio
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements, process logic, and identify process improvements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, bugs, and ad-hoc data analysis requests
  • Document processes effectively, including road-maps and technical descriptions
  • Drive project progress through stakeholder collaboration and monitoring

You're ideal for this role if you have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in data development and reporting within a financial or banking environment
  • Proficiency in Python, TSQL, and/or C# for data solutions
  • Deep knowledge of the data lifecycle, including sourcing, ingestion, data warehouses, big data, and cloud migration
  • Experience with ETL tools and data integration across various databases and platforms
  • Working knowledge of Google BigQuery, Looker Studio, Qlik Sense, PowerApps, Alteryx, or Collibra
  • Ability to develop conceptual, physical, and logical data models
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

  • Experience with Qlik, Teradata, Cloudera, or Quentexa
  • Knowledge of R or Scala
  • Familiarity with JIRA and agile methodologies
  • Background in financial services or banking data environments

Language Required for the role:

  • English — Communicative proficiency required
