As a Mid-Level QA Automation Engineer – API and Web Testing, you will be working for our client in the fintech industry, supporting the integration of SmartKYC and extending DIFC flows to multiple markets. You will be crucial in ensuring the highest standards of quality, security, and reliability of software applications by designing and executing comprehensive manual and automated testing strategies. Your main responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios aligned with user stories, business needs, and technical specifications.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and API testing utilizing tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, or RestAssured.
• Perform manual, exploratory, and usability testing to identify edge cases, defects, and user experience issues.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using Jira; collaborate closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and immediate feedback.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, advocating for quality and testability of features.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 3+ years of professional experience as a QA Engineer or similar testing role.
• Strong expertise with test automation frameworks using Java, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proven experience testing RESTful APIs with tools like Postman or code-based libraries.
• Solid understanding of relational databases with proficiency in writing SQL queries for data validation.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and DevOps culture.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, and CI/CD tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative cross-functional team.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certifications or experience related to automation testing, API testing, or DevOps practices.

Language required for the role:

• Communicative English proficiency.
