As a Senior QA Tester, you will be working for our client, a leading company dedicated to delivering high-quality business solutions. Your expertise will ensure that critical applications perform flawlessly by focusing on database validation and API testing, ultimately helping to enhance product reliability and user satisfaction.
Your main responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and execute manual tests including functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Perform data-focused testing by validating data flows, transformations, and backend processing.
- Write and execute complex SQL queries to verify data integrity, investigate issues, and support testing activities.
- Test APIs (REST, SOAP) to ensure seamless integration and reliable performance.
- Analyze application logs and database data to identify defects and root causes.
- Create and maintain thorough test documentation such as test cases, scenarios, and reports.
- Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and Product Owners to clarify requirements and resolve issues efficiently.
- Report and track defects throughout their lifecycle using tools like Jira.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes and product quality.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- 3+ years of experience as a Manual Tester / QA Engineer.
- Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries with JOINs, subqueries, and GROUP BY.
- Hands-on experience testing backend systems or data-driven applications.
- Practical knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
- Ability to analyze technical and business requirements effectively.
- Experience working with Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
- Solid test documentation skills.
- Good understanding of testing techniques like equivalence partitioning and boundary value analysis.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Basic knowledge of test automation tools such as Postman, Python, Java, or Selenium.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
Language Required for the role:
- Good command of English (Communicative level).
