Senior AI Engineer – Agentic AI & Software Development

As a Senior AI Solutions Developer, you will be working for our client – a leading insurance company that is rapidly developing its systems using artificial intelligence. You will help design and build advanced AI solutions that enhance the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from analysis and planning through development, testing, and automation — with a special emphasis on agentic AI and RAG-based architectures. Your main responsibilities:

• Design and develop AI-powered solutions to streamline SDLC workflows, integrating models with applications, APIs, and DevOps tools.
• Build and optimize agentic AI frameworks, including context search, vectorization, and embedding technologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable, resilient prototypes and technical specifications.
• Conduct proof-of-concept experiments, ensuring rapid validation of hypotheses in a fast-paced R&D environment.
• Integrate AI features within Azure AI Foundry and ecosystem services, ensuring seamless deployment and operation.
• Automate pipeline processes and support CI/CD practices for continuous delivery of AI-enhanced solutions.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing across multidisciplinary teams to embed AI-driven innovations into organizational workflows.
• Keep abreast of advancements in AI, particularly agent-based architectures, to inform innovative development strategies.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 7+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in software development and min. 2 years with AI, machine learning, or data engineering.
• Proven knowledge of Azure AI Foundry and related Azure ecosystem services.
• Practical experience designing and implementing agentic AI solutions, including context search, vectorization, and knowledge base integration.
• Solid background in programming, preferably in Java or a similar language, with understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, automated testing, and code review processes.
• Ability to quickly prototype ideas, validate hypotheses, and operate in experimental R&D environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, and SonarQube.
• Strong problem-solving skills, autonomy in analysis, and effective communication with technical and non-technical teams.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with knowledge retrieval solutions such as RAG, embeddings, and knowledge base integration.
• Skills in cloud automation, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Certifications or experience in AI, machine learning, or cloud architecture are advantageous.
