Senior Business Analyst - MDM & Data Governance - Half Time

As a Senior Business Analyst – MDM & Data Governance, you will be working for our client in an international business environment where reliable customer data is mission-critical. You will help develop an MDM business concept by bridging business needs and data governance, supporting target customer identification logic (including matching and conflict handling), and contributing to data model, migration, and implementation requirements. This is a high-impact role for professionals who enjoy turning complex data and governance challenges into clear, actionable solutions.

Your main responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the business department to provide input on data governance, including data ownership and data quality rules.

• Structure and translate business requirements into concrete architecture/development input based on the selected MDM concept.

• Develop the target vision for customer identification, defining matching logic, conflict logic, and decision outcomes (match, merge, or match requiring manual review) in collaboration with developers and business teams.

• Support the definition of data models and data structures for customer and contract data.

• Contribute to the development of a migration concept to enable effective transition to the target MDM approach.

• Analyze complex data structures and data quality issues, ensuring requirements reflect real-world data challenges.

• Clarify end-to-end data flows by structuring topics clearly across business and IT stakeholders.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (or equivalent role) with a strong focus on data governance and Master Data Management (MDM).

• Solid understanding of data quality problems and the ability to analyze complex data structures.

• Practical understanding of data models.

• Ability to understand and structure end-to-end data flows.

• Experience translating business requirements into IT/architecture implementation requirements.

• Ability to structure complex topics into clear inputs for technical teams.

• Experience with data migrations.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Specific MDM experience (Master Data Management) in projects involving customer identification, matching, and merging logic.

Language Required for the role :

• Fluent English (expected fluent command).
