As a Senior Java Microservices Developer – Cloud & API Focus, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution dedicated to innovating customer communication platforms. You will help design and modernize a messaging delivery system that channels vital information to bank clients across multiple outbound channels, shaping the future of customer engagement through cutting-edge technologies. Your main responsibilities:

• Apply your extensive Java and Spring Boot expertise to develop high-quality distributed applications that adhere to business and technical standards.
• Design and build scalable microservices architecture utilizing Kubernetes and Cloud (AWS), ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Define and enforce quality standards, maintain best practices for API design (Swagger, OpenAPI, REST), and support automation with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Maven.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate functional requirements into robust technical solutions, providing innovative answers to complex business challenges.
• Conduct thorough unit testing and code reviews, ensuring high standards for quality, security, and compliance.
• Contribute to establishing automation test coverage and maintain continuous improvement of development processes within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, ensuring alignment of technical development with business objectives.
• Demonstrate accountability for engineering process control, compliance, and operational excellence.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 5 years of senior experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices development.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes and Cloud environments, especially AWS.
• Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, Maven, and Groovy scripting.
• Strong understanding of API standards and best practices, including Swagger, OpenAPI 3.0, REST, and JSON.
• Experience with authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth 2, and familiarity with Kong API Gateway.
• Familiarity with Agile testing disciplines (TDD) and Scrum methodology.
• Ability to work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• A proactive nature and eagerness to learn new technologies and methodologies.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or related fields.
• Experience working on messaging or communications platforms in the banking or financial sector.

• Communicative English (fluent in both written and spoken).
