Senior QA Automation Engineer – API & E2E Testing

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer (API & E2E), you will be working for our client, a leader in software quality assurance, dedicated to delivering reliable and maintainable platform solutions. You will contribute to building robust automated testing frameworks that ensure seamless platform performance, improve release stability, and accelerate deployment cycles—driving innovation and excellence in software delivery.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for APIs (REST/SOAP) and end-to-end flows using modern tools like Playwright and TypeScript.
• Create and refine test scenarios, covering backend and full-flow cases, employing a risk-based approach for maximum coverage.
• Validate API contracts, including error scenarios, to ensure correct behaviors across integrated systems.
• Develop and enhance test frameworks in Java and TypeScript, ensuring maintainability and scalability.
• Analyze test outcomes across functional, integration, and performance checks, recommending improvements based on insights.
• Diagnose defects by investigating logs, requests, and data, then documenting reproducible steps with detailed reports.
• Maintain and expand test execution pipelines within CI/CD environments, participating in code reviews and collaborative testing efforts.
• Support requirements analysis, planning, and contribute to overall test strategies to improve quality metrics.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience in automated testing (API and/or E2E).
• Strong knowledge of Java for backend automation.
• Proficient in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Rest Assured or Gatling.
• Proven expertise with E2E automation frameworks such as Playwright.
• Solid understanding of SQL for data validation.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), and Maven or Gradle.
• Ability to work effectively within Agile/Scrum environments.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with performance testing tools like Gatling.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Swagger and API mocking.

Language Required for the role: Polish (good command), Communicative English.
