As a Senior Software Security Engineer – Cloud Native Backend, you will be working for our client, a leader in advancing software security through innovative, open-source, cloud-based platforms. You will play a pivotal role in driving engineering excellence across agile teams, shaping scalable, resilient solutions that set industry standards and transform business operations.
Your main responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-performance backend services using Python (Django), Node.js (Typescript/NestJS), and Go, ensuring they are secure, resilient, and cost-efficient.
- Lead the design and implementation of OAuth2/OpenID Connect flows within Google Cloud Platform, optimizing security and user experience.
- Architect for Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), managing containerized applications and optimizing PostgreSQL query performance for high concurrency.
- Translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions, fostering automation and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to open-source projects, share knowledge through blogs or Github, and advocate best practices within engineering communities.
- Collaborate across teams to maintain technical standards, improve delivery quality, and uphold industry shifts such as Go-Lang, Rust, and Typescript.
- Mentor team members, promote a security-first mindset, and ensure the entire lifecycle of services is reliable and cost-effective.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Python, Node.js, or Go, with a strong track record of delivering production-grade services.
- Hands-on experience with GCP services (Cloud Run, GKE, Filestore) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Expertise in architecting secure, scalable backend solutions with a focus on Zero Trust models and security as a core feature.
- Ability to design high-performance components and optimize database queries for high concurrency.
- Knowledge of IT development methodology, architecture design, and engineering standards.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Contributions to open source or personal projects demonstrating technical mastery and innovation.
- Experience in holistic problem-solving and impact-driven engineering.
Language required for the role:
English – Fluent command required.
