As a Senior VMware vSphere Administrator, you will be working for our client, a global leader in enterprise infrastructure solutions. You will play a vital role in delivering robust operational support, ensuring infrastructure stability, and driving automation to elevate services and systems reliability. Your main responsibilities:

• Ensure the operational stability, integrity, and availability of VMware vSphere environments supporting enterprise-wide applications.
• Resolve vSphere incidents and troubleshoot network, storage, and hardware issues promptly.
• Develop and implement automation processes to optimize build, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Manage vSphere clusters, including configuration, upgrades, and lifecycle management, to guarantee high performance and security.
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and resource utilization, executing root-cause analyses as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless infrastructure solutions and improvements.
• Maintain compliance with Service Management standards and ensure high data quality.
• Handle on-call support to address urgent issues and minimize downtime.

You are ideal for this role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience administering VMware vSphere 8 and ESXi 8 in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization concepts: virtual machines, clusters, resource pools, and snapshots.
• Hands-on experience with vCenter Server management and high-availability features like vSphere HA, DRS, and vMotion.
• Proficiency in VMware networking, storage, and performance tuning.
• Solid UNIX/Linux skills, including RHEL administration and scripting (Bash).
• Knowledge of Windows Server environments and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with disaster recovery, backup, and restore strategies.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Familiarity with automation tools like PowerCLI, PowerShell, or Ansible.
• Knowledge of VMware vSphere Lifecycle Manager and compliance management.
• Experience working with Jira, Confluence, or ServiceNow.
• Basic understanding of German language skills.

• Fluent English (both written and spoken).
