As a Technical Writer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution, within the Cybersecurity Risks and Controls Strategy team. You’ll be tasked with designing and delivering clear and effective documentation and communications for a mathematically complex, quantitative project.
Your main responsibilities:
- Collaborating closely with all team members to create effective technical documentation, education materials, user manuals/guidelines, and similar customer-facing documentation
- Actively engaging with relevant stakeholders and teams to understand projects and their impact
- Gathering information from subject matter experts to create accurate, accessible, and engaging content adhering to brand and communication guidelines
- Creating reusable, easy-to-maintain templates across various documentation and content types, including intranet portals, product catalogues, and presentations
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a technical writer in a technology or software development environment, with demonstrated ability to explain complex problems to a broad audience
- Fluent English
- Good knowledge of technical writing standards and rules
- Ability to rapidly grasp complex processes and translate them into accurate and simple content
- Ability to engage with subject matter experts and senior executives to foster collaborative relationships
- Flexibility, enthusiasm, and accessibility, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and contribute positively to the team
- Sense of aesthetics and the ability to prepare graphically engaging materials
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Previous exposure to risk management
- Experience with project and task management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or YouTrack
- Understanding of process and workflow optimization
- Certification in technical writing
- Advanced knowledge of Confluence, Markdown, Latex
- Functional understanding of project, software, UI/UX, and documentation development lifecycles
